Music Is Better Than S3X – Local DJ

DJ Lotus Mae, also known as Ntsamaeng Moseamedi, has established herself as a prominent figure in the Afro-tech house music scene.

With her soulful sounds and infectious beats, she has captivated audiences and earned the envy of women in the industry while getting heads bobbing.

Lotus Mae’s journey into music began in 2016 when she discovered her passion for the craft.

Determined to hone her skills, she pursued studies in music composition, production, sound engineering, and music business at Central Johannesburg College.

It was DJ Kinetic who inspired her to pursue a career in deejaying.

Kinetic, a DJ and content producer for YFM, provided her with valuable insights into the industry, solidifying her decision to embark on this path.

In 2017, Lotus Mae secured her first DJ residency at Chesa Nyama Braamfontien. However, her breakthrough in the entertainment industry came when she joined Cobra Tycoon Online Radio, now known as Opulence Online Radio.

Describing her Afro-tech sound as a fusion of African beats and techno music, Lotus Mae sees music as the theater of the mind, painting pictures using sound.

She believes it provides a sensory experience akin to having s*x, but even better.

As a young black female DJ, Lotus Mae has curated playlists for Paradise Sound System on Spotify, earning recognition from international artists such as Frankawara, a music producer from the Canary Islands.

This exposure has opened doors for collaborations with other international artists.

Lotus Mae is currently working on her debut EP, titled “Phases,” set to release in July 2023 on various digital platforms.
