Shortly after, social media users began speculating, claiming that the house appeared abandoned and accusing the couple of orchestrating the fire themselves.

Speaking to ZiMoja, Sadiki dismissed the negative comments, questioning what kind of mother would subject her children to such trauma just for attention.

“I would never do that to my kids. What kind of monster would I be?” she said, emphasizing her main concern is her family’s well-being.

Currently, the family is staying in temporary accommodation as they prepare their children for the upcoming school term.

Sadiki is focused on arranging therapy for her kids, who are experiencing nightmares from witnessing the fire.

“I am stressed about my kids’ books, school uniforms, and getting them into therapy. People’s opinions won’t help me at this time,” she added.

Despite the negativity, Sadiki, who portrays Sthoko on Skeem Saam, expressed gratitude towards those who have supported her family.

“To my followers, churches, businesspeople, and celebrities who have been helpful, we are grateful for your support,” she concluded.
